Master Guang Qin and his daily life videos

This is a very rare video about Master Guang Qin. Actually, I have been searching for videos about Master Guang Qin on Youtube, but it seems that videos about him are very rare. Only photographs can be found on Google.

Master Guang Qin is still a well-known great monk to everyone until now. Buddhist followers of all over the world visited him to listen to his sermon and asked him questions about Buddhist practice. Some people said he practised Zen,  some people said he practised Pure Land , and others say he practised Zen and Pure Land, but he himself remarked that to him, there is no difference. What a great monk indeed.

I was so happy that I could see this video although it's only about 10 minutes. From the video, you can see parts of his daily life, Master Guang Qin and his disciples, his followers and the surroundings of the temple he lived. You can see that he kept on chanting anytime and everywhere. You can also see Master Guang Qin paying homage to the Buddha. He has set a very good example for us as a Buddhist practitioner.

Perhaps, you won't feel anything if you have never listened to his sermon or advice audio files. But at least, I hope that this video can encourage us to be more diligent in our daily practice, especially those who have benefited a lot from listening to his advice.

Guan Yin Pu Sa Ji (觀音菩薩偈 - The verse of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva)

This is a video of Chyi (齐豫 - Qi Yu) who sings "The verse of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva". She is one of the best singer who always sings great Buddhist songs. Her wonderful voice and the deep expression for the songs will always awaken us to understand Buddhism through music/song.

The verse of Avalokiteshvara (觀音菩薩偈) is one of my favorite Buddhist song. There's a lyric in the contents of the whole song which describes Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva (Guan Yin Pu Sa) will appear anywhere in respond to our prayers. Indeed, Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva is one of all Bodhisattvas who has deep affinity to the sentient beings of this Saha World (娑婆世界).

The name Guan Shi Yin Pu Sa (觀世音菩薩) means "The Bodhisattva who Listens to the Voice/Sound of the Worlds".

Pu Men Pin Verse Chanting - Song version

Any Buddhists who know Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva (觀音菩薩) will likely know "Pu Men Pin" (普門品) which is a chapter of the Lotus Sutra. Part of this chapter is about the merits or benefits of reciting the Name of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva. The rest is about the transformations of the Bodhisattva in order to save all sentient beings.

This chapter of Sutra has also the song version. So, those who love Buddhist song can recite according to the song. I just found a song of Pu Men Pin which is very nice. You can always find many Buddhist song at Youtube. Now, let's listen to Guan Shi Yin Pu Sa Pu Men Pin.

Who is Mizuko Jizo Bosatsu (Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva)?

While I was searching for information about Jizo Bosatsu's statue (Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva) in Japan, I found a video which shows and briefly introduce the famous savior for Japanese Buddhist believers. They worship and express their prayers to Jizo Bosatsu for many things: good health, safety, safe-pregnancy and delivery, protection for the soul of the dead (including babies, aborted soul, etc.), all success of living, and many other wishes.
